First thing today we were given copies of the lyrics to Nirvana's song, "Lithium".
We had to correct the lyrics, because some of the adjectives had been changed by Samantha, our teacher.
Then we had to explain what lithium was and what the song was about.
Flora said that she liked listening to the songs we had chosen because it was very interesting to analyse them afterwards.
After that we got to choose a famous person we would like to interview and then we had to make up ten questions we would like to ask them.
We wrote drafts of our interviews and then began to make posters about the celebrities we had chosen. I was asked to do an interview with Jamie Oliver.
When we had finished Flora and Kevin started to draw pictures for a comic for which the other group will do the speech bubbles tomorrow.
That’s it for today.
Got to go, Chris
Today we started out to analyze the lyrics of “Why don't you get a job”, by The Offspring.
Both of us really like the tune – it is catchy - although the words are definitely not grammatically correct English.
Our group has decided to tell Mrs Pacher we’d like to go on analyzing lyrics in class after this week is over. Maybe she’ll go along with this.
